Farm to table workshops for kids

Farm-to-table (or farm-to-fork, and in some cases farm-to-school) is a social movement which promotes serving local food at restaurants and school cafeterias, preferably through direct acquisition from the producer.Farm to table kids

The farm-to-table workshops for kids at Muriel’s Kitchen promote the sharing of knowledge and skills for the locally produced foods including cage-free eggs.

During the workshops we explore the fields and the crops growing on the fields at the time. As water is an ongoing issue here in the the tropics, we have a look at the different ways of winning and accumulating water for irrigation purposes.

The exploring of the fields allows us to roam around and take the opportunity to pick ripe fruits or vegetables and even collect farm fresh eggs from the chicken coop.

At Muriel’s Kitchen we strongly believe that sharing the knowledge on the local produce is important for the future generation. Not only the knowledge but the skills too make a difference in our diets, our consumption behaviour and our health.

In a playful way we take to the fields and cook up a yummy lunch on the porch.
These farm-to-table workshops are 2 hours, all inclusive and can also be booked as a birthday party !
